I’ve been in the industry since 2000 and I love everything about it. I’m an education addict and love to take advanced classes regularly in hairstyling. I’ve taken advanced classes with the leading stylists in our industry such as Jayne Matthews on razor shags, Arrojo, Aveda, Sassoon, Bumble and Bumble and many more independent amazing artists and colorists. I did a four week intensive styling class in Milan Italy and worked on Fashion week there and have done many other advanced styling classes. I also train new stylists in styling and cutting every Tuesday in the salon.
My passion lies with razor haircutting and customizing the haircut to the individual in their lifestyle, style goals and hair texture. Although I love a textured razor lived in style I am also proficient in very structured technical haircutting and love curly hair too! I also love doing natural lived in color that looks good for long after you leave the salon.
My style advice is you can wear anything if it makes you feel confident you don’t have to follow every latest trend you should wear what makes you feel your best. Work with what you’ve got!
My favorite products are the Arrojo Wave Mist and Curl Cult’s Dolly Potion for big curly hair!
Education: The Arrojo Academy, Sassoon Academy, Bumble, Bumble University, Hands-on color classes with some of the top colorists in the industry, a teacher-training program with Sally Rogerson and many advanced razor cutting classes including razor shags with Jayne Matthews. The L Salon holds class every Tuesday morning at the salon as a part of the apprentice program for our new talent stylists.

How long have you been in the beauty industry?
I’ve been in the beauty industry or the Vanity arts industry for over 20 years now!! When you do what you love it goes super fast. It’s an ever-evolving field so it still feels new to me.
What’s your favorite thing about the industry?
My favorite attribute of this industry is the love & respect for creativity and the ability to constantly grow.
What’s your specialty?
My specialty is listening to my clients and offering my years of experience as advice ultimately creating collaborations we both love.
What’s your best beauty advice?
The best beauty advice I could give is if you don’t trust your stylist you’re with the wrong one.
What are your favorite products?
First of all I LOVE PRODUCTS. Any Arrojo mousse (Cream Whip, Volume Foam, Styling Foam), the EVO pucks are great too (Crop Strutters, Cassius to name a couple) & the Aveda Air Control Hairspray are among some of my favorites.
What inspires you?
My love of beauty inspires me, and the pursuit of confidence, glamour & opulence.
What are some of your favorite classes that you’ve taken to advance your craft?
Some of my favorite classes have been: razor cutting with Nick Arrojo, ethnic hair cutting with Aveda and a variety of makeup & coloring classes I’ve taken over the years. Jayne Edo taught a phenomenal class that really expanded my skillset. I seriously love to learn & educate other artists and clients.

Use dry shampoo on your clean hair to extend the wear of your style and add texture & volume.

How long have you been in the beauty industry?
I started cutting hair in 2018. I attended Hudson Valley Barber Institute in 2019 and received my barbering license. Since then I’ve taken multiple precision based cutting classes from world renowned professionals such as Charles Gray, Andrea Buluggiu, Gianni Cardinale, Alessandro Barca, Hugo Blanc, and Jack Louii.

My favorite thing about the hair industry is the power we hold in making someone look and feel better.

Precision-based cutting, modern men’s hair, the architect of hair, directly reflecting the bone structure, and sympathetic to the natural fall and texture of the hair.

To never stop learning and surround yourself with like-minded people.

I wouldn’t say I have just one specialty, I genuinely love all aspects of hair. I have a passion for working with textured styles and creating soft, effortless looks with razor cutting.

Be who you are and express yourself in the way that makes you the most confident.

What inspires you?
My co-workers are my biggest inspiration, the knowledge everyone holds never fails to amaze me. Seeing the creativity and technique behind the final product inspires me to continue learning everyday.

One of the most impactful learning experiences for me was completing my apprenticeship through the L Salon; it helped build a strong foundation for my craft. Outside of the salon, I loved the Hairbrained class, where I had the opportunity to learn from and be inspired by so many icons on stage.
